Default Adapt a softail rear suspention?

It's cold and snowing and I must have to much time on my hands. I'm shopping for a project bike and am thinking what I might want to do with it. I got to thinking about a softail style rear swing arm adapted to an evo sporty frame. Anybody ever see one? Don't tell me it can't be done because then I'll have to try it. I would think with adding a couple inch's length and a 180-200 tire I could get a hard tail look with suspention. Fire away I'm sure I'm forgetting something..........LOL
