I think you've got it there. I have a friend who was part of the computer revolution since the early 70. He still has old computer memorabilia around his office. One of those thing is sitting on his desk. I never did know what it was, but that makes sense.

Yes, but its to make them writable, no notch read only. Works on double sided also.

Remember the TRS-80 Model II???
Back when CPM and Unix were the only OS's out there.
