i dont have the link, but i know there is one, but as soon as you get the money, just get the book. also, get the 54-78 parts catolog. both can be had for around 40$ each. and worth every penny. worth there weight in gold.

Just kiddin about the emotional scars, the bike was a pain in the butt, however I was a pain in the butt back then also.. It was one of those machines that had soul, character I guess you'd call it.. Although the character at times would try my already thin patience.. Had very little in my youth... Let's see what this 78 has, right now it is just looking very sad, can't get mad at that... It IS all about the machine..

I really enjoyed restoring mine. Same deal. Basket case, didn't run. Took me about 18 months working an average of 4 hrs/day. It was well worth it, even though mine also cost too much. By the way, the $1300 is just the beginning, but you already knew that.
