Springfield, MO anyone? Pal has had a bike crash and is in hospital there.
A guy from our Brit bike club has had an 'off' on his Harley bike trip of a lifetime from East to West coasts USA. He's broken a few bones and punctured a lung. More info in this thread at our club site: http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.c...2012-a-13.html.
Anyone local to Mercy Hospital Springfield 1235 E. Cherokee, Springfield, MO 65804? He's in room number 3107 bed # 2 and could probably do with a bit of cheering up as he knows no one in the US.

Gutted for your pal. My brothers and I did the West Coast and Deserts last year on our own and did worry about such an outcome. I wish him well and for a speedy recovery.

Springfield MO..Visiting British rider on a cross country bike tour is down
His name is David Cole...a member of the Harley Davidson Riders Club of Great Britain.
His trip of a lifetime busted, and his body is broken...and he is alone in our country.

Yesterday (Tuesday), I went off the road trying to avoid, a deer that was on the left hand side
of Route 66 in a culvert between it and Interstate 44. .........
......... the diagnosis ...punctured left lung, 4 broken
left ribs, a broken left collarbone and shoulder blade and a heavily bruised left arm......
So my dream trip of riding a Harley Davidson, from New York to San Francisco"

Just talked to him on the phone said he didn't need any thing. Pain meds were kicking in I'll check back tomorrow.
