Got to love the internet.
Ok, here is my story. Tonight I got a call on my phone, I did not know the number so I let it go to voicemail. Then I start getting text messages of "its me" "been years since I talked to you" and the like.
I kept asking who this person was. Got cryptic answers. When the person finally said who they thought I was, I said, NOPE.
So while this is going on, I googled the number. About 3pages in I find a Caller ID info page and get the name of the account holder and approx location. So I then Google that and got a address. The person texting me said her sister Shelle gave her my #. So I use the white pages look up and find Michelle XXXX. Off to face book where I find this Michelle and her sister who is texting me.
All the while I keep saying, you got the wrong person. So then she confirms with Shelle that she has the wrong person. Conversation over. I left it with a "hope you find whom you are looking for."
Now I know the following: Account holder of the cell phone, the carrier, his address. That he has at least two sisters, I got there names, over on facebook I know everything they say about themselves. Names, friends, location, sexual preferences and relationship status.
All within a 15min texting conversation.
Isn't the internet cool!

No, its dangerous.
That's why I'm always amazed at how people will post pic's of their kids on the internet. There are just too many predators out there and its easier to find out who you are and where you live than you think.
Think twice before posting pic's and personal info on the Web. If your lackadaisical about it, it will come back and bite you in the ass.

I swear it wasn't me. My little sister is staying up here for the summer, and I will check her phone records tomorrow morning.
You never did answer what you were wearing.

Same here, I don't want to go on all those social networks, I have nothing to hide but prefer to remain anonymous none the less.
Just for the test: type your full name on Google, and you'll see the results. Amazing.

I have a standard response when I get questionable emails.
"I get a lot of emails from women claiming to be someone they might not be, Please send nude pics of yourself so I know you are who you say you are."

Brilliant!! I don't think anyone else in the world can say " off" as convincingly as a Glaswegian can say " off".
