Convince me not to move
Hey guys, hows it going. I just finished up a 2500 mile ride down to San Clemente to visit some family. Now, I used to live down there for a while, but I was so damn busy with work and school I barely noticed it was California. I live near Seattle now, and the weather has me close to slitting my wrists. Boy, let me tell ya, that ride was nice. So, tell me. No, make me hate it. Tell me every dirty, annoying, nasty little annoyance. I know the good, I want the bad.

Traffic sucks and California is run by idiots. They tax the crap out of us for everything. Those are the good points.

I know about the traffic. While I was down there living for a few years, I commuted 100 miles a day. From south Orange county to Rancho Cucamonga. I remember bad traffic one day. 2.5 hours to go 3 miles.
Taxes, well, aren't those kinda bad everywhere?
Rumor patrol, while I was there I met a guy with an 09 iron883. Just like mine but silver and California market bike. We got to talking and I noticed the evap canister on his bike. Mine doesn't have one since it's domestic us market. He said you guys smog bikes down there and that I'd have to put an evap canister on. Truth? Mine's a 2010 with nearly 19k on the clock.
So, more bad points please. I should be living rent free in the beginning luckily if I move, but I know housing is astronomical. That's one of my own worries. Not being able to find a house for less than half a mil. Shatter my hopes man. Kill my dreams.

I am from the Bay Area. The State is not the same as it used to be. There are much better places to live than, if I may quote Jack Donaghy, "in the peoples gay republic of drugafornia".

My cousin lived there for years , made a good buck, but paidway to much for housing.
She moved out and is loving the extra "disposable" income
