"Tha Heist" 250cc bobber by Cleveland Cyclewerks
http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/b...nd-cyclewerks/
Saw this online and thought it wasn't bad for a ready-to-ride bike, and priced at $3200, it's cheaper than some scooters. Engine is based on a Honda design, intended for longevity and easy maintenance instead of maximum horsepower, and uses pushrods instead of an overhead cam.
Basically, its similar to what Harley used to build in the 50's, except then it had a 125cc or 165cc two-stroke engine, three speeds, and drum brakes. Now it has a 250cc engine, five speeds, and disc brakes.

That's a good looking little bike.
I've always wanted to build something similar to that with an old Honda XL/XR motor.

they're definitely a good looking bike. I've had a lot of people checking it out when I go out on it, it's sad they quality doesn't match and I have to explain to those checking it out why I can't recommend the company or bikes

It sounds a bit like the old British experience all over again...good looking machinery with extremely variable quality control. Like Packard used to say..."Ask the man who owns one".

a lot of people dismiss it as "old british experience", "early japanese bike issues", "AMF days of HD", etc. The problem is, they're not doing anything new here, these issues shouldn't exist. There's no new tech here, just a severe lack of quality control and lots of corner cutting. I hope they get things ironed out and actually address the issues, because THIS is not the way you should handle customer complaints:
