Default LED bulbs... No brake lights

I realized I had a burnt out tail light on my 2011 Iron bout a week ago. I have smoked lens' (F&R) and require a RED 1157 rear bulb and an AMBER 1157 front bulb.

I couldn't find a red replacement halogen bulb locally, so I priced a red halogen bulb online and it was around $11. Not wanting to wait for shipping, I checked local auto parts stores but only found a set of red LED bulbs for $16.

Bought them, installed them, and they look great. Running lights are a lot brighter, turn signals work great, but no brake lights.

Anyone know why the LEDs aren't getting brighter while braking? I'm kinda partial to the look of the LEDs and would like to keep them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe bad brake switch keeping the brake light on? If you turn the key to the first position without the headlight coming on does the brake light turn on? If so I would say you have a a bad brake switch.

Nevermind... figured it out. Brakes work great now with LED bulbs.

Yeah that brake switch was the problem.... I guess I didn't put the switch housing/brake lever back together properly after I did my handlebar swap.

Thanks for the reply man, right on the money.
