Default My small nightmare

Is there some trinket of hope, I've used everything in my arsenal shy of sealant to prevent this from happening. The picture isn't fully revealing but it's the LEAK from under the filler cover that's KILLING me.

might try Permatex Aviation sealant on both sides of the gasket, let it get tacky, install inspection cover.

I also have another issue keeping me awake at night. Fuel is passing through my Tillotson carb and ending up in the crankcase. I've removed the fuel supply hose and checked to make sure the petcock is closed.........it is closed. I pulled the diaphragm to check for a pin hole......there is no pin hole. I'm stumped at this point.

Well now looking at my pictures...is it possible the leak is due to having the gasket resting upon the lower raised edge of the primary cover?!!!??

if the petcock is closed no fuel will flow, diaphram needs to be manually pushed upwards to open the fuel needle or pulled upwards by vac to allow fuel to flow.
you putting the fuel in the correct tank LOL

I installed a modified "tickler" to help with starting....now I'm thinking it may be causing the problem. I didn't have this problem prior to adding the tickler. Thanks for waking up my thought process.

Default Mating surface

Boy that looks like a nasty mating surface (Not related to my last girlfriend), cork sometimes has a habit of soaking up oil, then leaking, maybe a rubber gasket, with a touch of RTV? On the brighter side I thought this was how you checked the lube, as long as its leaking??
