It's harder to shift with motocross boots on then bare feet on a sporty.
I do both often.

Dang! 350 on some smokes that don't even get ya high!?
I got one of them scars from a honda, not as tough as Harley I guess  I can't wear shorts on my sporty no more, that oil cap burns right through them (76), but with blue jeans it never gets hot it seems... |

had a permanent one of those on my calf for years from my old 400ex and then the yz450... bumped it a few weeks ago on the sporty, brought back old times... as far as shorts and a sporty i do it quite a bit but always worry about what i would look like should some dumbass pulls out in front of me or something... so then i dont do it for a day or two
except when i ride to work  |

Hah, i saw a guy riding an old honda cb recently wearing shorts and flip flops, i was picturing him. Must be uncomfortable to upshift.
