Thanks Trace. Yea making slow progress. I got a laptop for christmas so can surf the net from the couch now. Keeps me amused but not as good as being out in my own garage or out on the road. Trying to set up my old 45 so I can do a few small jobs on it, but about an hour a week is all I can manage, on a good week. But I'll get there.

Well my normal 4 week check-in is here again....how you doing? May 20 made 2 yrs I've had my Road King. Didn't quite make my goal of 30K, but I wasn't too far off. Finished with 29,239. 17K the first yr., and 12K for the 2cnd yr. Work, time, and $$$$ didn't work in my favor this yr. Pretty much duplicated the long distance trips (minus going to see my family...which last yr accounted for 1400 miles), but I was out of town more this yr and mostly during the better riding months.

Oh well, now your updated on my life, how you doing? Tracy

Yeah the weather has cooled down so I am doing better, but still not well enough to kick the ironhead into life! Rode my electric start ricer once this year so far for a short spin. Hopefully I can get my old 45 back on the road, it is easier to start and ride than the Ironbeast.

Will do, looks like it will be an Evo frame with an Ironhead stuffed in though... (but that is a story for a new thread, once everything is sorted)

Boy time got away from this month and last. How you doing? Hope things are well with you and your family.

My Road King (apparently) has heard me say too many times that I'm trading her in for a 2013 Road Glide Ultra next Jan. She decided she wasn't leaving without a fight (meaning I'm gonna spend $$$$ on her before she's gone ). Last month she decided to turn over but not start....seemed like the fuel pump wouldn't pressurize. NOPE, it had a loose connection to the ECM and blew the ECM fuse......5 days to figure it out. Picked it up on a Sat, rode 50 miles, rode 200 on Sun. Went to work on her Mon. Got ready to go home and no starter. Had the HD dealer pick it up at work the next day.....7 days later they said they found 5 loose/broken/worn/bare wires. All minor probs till they ganged up together to become a MAJOR prob. Had it back a week now, and I'm still feeling/hearing a "miss" in her every now and then. No particular rhyme or reason. COME ON JANUARY! I want to go for a couple of days ride (I'm on vacation this week), but I just don't have the confidence in it to go too far. Just not feeling the love right now. Anyway, hope all is going well with you. Tracy

LOL, never had an ECM problem on the Ironhead. Yeh, doing ok here, actually getting a bit better and took my old 45 for a short ride this week, so that's progress.

Hopper.....how's things going? How you feeling? Man time flies. Work's been kicking my butt...no time for almost anything "fun". Hope all is well and your recovery/recuperation is still on track. Tracy

Default howyadoin,mate?

my boss is from tuwumba, australia and is always calling me "mate".
by doing that he gets me to do just about anything."climb that 50 foot antenna ,mate----
,get up on that 10 inch scaffolding ,30 feet off the ground, mate and the strange thing is,i do it.!
got a new battery in the bike and hope to ride it more than 4 times which is all i did this summer cause we took 5 months to power wash and paint a huge building for a school.
when i first met him,he said"get the knockin stick from the boot ,get the ute and fill it with petrol and i'll meet you down by the billabong, mate" .i just looked at him like he was from another planet and i realized the course in miracles book was right--there is no communication here.
he did a 30 day juice fast after reading a book by a dr. fuhrman ,seeing videos ,knives over forks, farmegeddon, and youtube.com--genetic roulette, about gmo foods.he's a vegan now and in his 60's and has more energy than i do.
thanks for your road trip thread and i hope you feel better, mate(more vegemite, maybe?)
