Don't tell this guy...459 HP and fully streetable. 159 mph in the quarter on a street tire with top speed estimates in the 245 mph range, it has already seen 230mph.

How funny is it that the worlds fastest street legal harley is still slower (barely) than some bone stock rockets from yamaha and suzuki? The technology of some of the jap bikes is insane, and I bet that worlds fastest harley would not pass a california smog check.

200 hp on a bike with a turbo or nitrous is alot different than 200hp without a power adder. big difference between street legal and streetable.i wouldn't want to sit thru to many stoplights on it.

The only way to beat round cubic inches is with lots of rectangular dollars.
|
This is truer than most would believe.
If you're planning, say, a 100 cubic inch motor, to get 200HP you need 2HP/CI.
Naturally aspirated, this is *not* easy to do even for a race application.
For a street motor, without a power adder of some sort, it's nearly impossible.

Yamahas R1 is 172hp stock and naturally aspirated, won't take much more for that last 15 percent HP increase to bump it over the magic number. Probably more streetable and civilized than our sorties to boot, lets not kid ourselves, but water cooling and EFI let it idle all day long without overheating and still be silly fast. Imagine this reliability and still enough HP to bring the front wheel up at speeds that are faster than my sportster can ever attain. Blows my mind.
